Special focus on this walk will be on one of the largest concrete relief sculptures in Holland, that was saved from the demolished office building on the corner of the President Kennedylaan and the Conradkade. After preservation it was installed on the wall of a newly built complex of appartments on the same corner. This spring it can be admired again in its full glory.

In the area around the President Kennedylaan and the Gemeentemuseum, in the so-called “International Zone”, a variety of interesting artwork can be found, quietly displayed in the public space. On this 2 hour artwalk I will show you more than 20 artworks, varying from postwar monumental art to endearing statuettes of children, and from cheerful sculptures to artwork that gives you food for thought.

Our tour will start from Brasserie Berlage, in the garden behind the Gemeentemuseum (soon to be called: Kunstmuseum Den Haag). Prior to our walk I will give a short introduction here.
